New energy lithium battery:

Lithium-ion batteries are one of many battery types. It is a typical secondary battery. Lithium is inserted and extracted back and forth between the positive and negative electrodes in the form of lithium ions. It has been likened to a rocking chair battery. It is known for its long cycling, high energy density, and low self-discharge in many batteries. At present, it is widely used in digital products such as mobile phones, cameras, and notebook computers, and is also one of the most important energy options for new energy vehicles. At present, almost all auto companies are developing new energy vehicles powered by lithium-ion batteries. Many car companies already sell hybrid and pure electric vehicles powered by lithium-ion batteries on a large scale.

The structure of lithium-ion battery:

Lithium-ion batteries are mainly composed of five parts: positive electrode, negative electrode, electrolyte, separator and other auxiliary components.

The more commonly used cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries are lithium cobalt oxide, lithium nickel oxide, lithium manganate and lithium nickel cobalt manganate. The most widely used material is lithium cobalt oxide, which has good cycle performance and simple preparation. The disadvantage is that cobalt is a strategic resource with limited reserves. Lithium nickelate is difficult to prepare, its performance is unstable, and its practical application is less. Lithium manganate is also a good material with abundant reserves, low price and simple preparation. However, the performance of lithium manganate decays rapidly at high temperature, the energy density is not high, and its application is limited. Lithium nickel cobalt manganate is also a very conventional cathode material.

The most commonly used negative electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries are graphite materials, which are mainly divided into natural graphite and artificial graphite. The electrolyte is currently mainly organic electrolyte, the electrolyte is usually LiPF6, the solvent is usually carbonate, and some functional additives. The diaphragm material is mainly a porous organic film, and the z is mainly PP and PE. The preparation process is divided into dry method and wet method. Auxiliary parts include housings, tabs, and the like.

The structure of lithium-ion batteries is mainly divided into two types: wound type and laminated type, and most of them adopt the wound type structure. In the winding type, the positive electrode sheet, the separator, the negative electrode sheet and the separator are placed in sequence and rolled into a cylindrical or flat cylindrical shape. The laminate type laminates a positive electrode, a separator, a negative electrode, a separator, and a positive electrode in a multilayer. Weld all the positive poles together and lead out, and the negative poles are also welded together and lead out.

Notes on the application of polymer lithium-ion batteries:

1. The polymer lithium battery needs to be equipped with a corresponding protection circuit board. With overcharge protection, overdischarge protection, overcurrent (or overheating) protection and positive and negative short circuit protection functions) battery pack with current and voltage equalization function to ensure battery safety.

2. The polymer lithium-ion battery needs to be equipped with a corresponding charger to ensure that the charging voltage is within the range of 4.2±0.05V. Do not use the lithium battery charger to charge at will.

3. Do not deep discharge (discharge to 2.75V), shallow discharge depth (no memory effect) can improve battery life, it is best to use shallow discharge (discharge to 3V).

4. Cannot be mixed with other types of batteries or different types of batteries.

5. Do not squeeze or bend the battery, otherwise it will damage the battery.

6. Do not place it near heaters and fire sources, otherwise the battery will be damaged.

7. When not in use for a long time, it should be charged regularly to keep the voltage above 3.0V.
